Mullingar Golf Club
The Mullingar course at Belvedere next door to Bloomfield House Hotel on the outskirts of town is the work of famous Scottish designer James Braid. Although some “cosmetic” changes have been made since its creation in 1935 Mullingar is as essentially as its designer intended.
A championship challenge set in old wooded and delightful undulating parklands. Generous rolling fairways wind their paths through mature timbers. It hosts important amateur events annually in the shape of the Mullingar Scratch Cup. Visitors are very welcome. Prior arrangement required.
Castle Barna Golf Club

The idyllic Castle Barna Golf Club in County Offaly is one of Ireland's hidden gems, set on some of the most beautiful countryside in the Heart of Ireland. Open for membership green fees and socities.
Only an hour from Dublin Airport via the N6, it is ideally located for groups travelling west. Nestled along the banks of the Grand Canal on it's route from Dublin to the Shannon. On entering the club, the beautiful stonework of the clubhouse gives a hint of the excellent quality of the course. The fairways are always in mint condition, the greens are immaculately manicured and whether you are a high or low handicap golfer you will seldom make the same putt twice.
The course is interspersed with many trees, some of which are hundreds of years old. The course plays 5’798 meters, par 72 Standard Scratch 69 from the back trees and the course enjoys great popularity with tourists, visitors and societies. Visiting members from other club enjoy the beauty of this excellent course and the friendly atmosphere in the clubhouse.

Ballinlough Castle Golf Club
Situated in the rich pastureland of North County Westmeath, Ballinlough Castle Golf Course is probably the most natural course you will play, with a mixture of sand and traditional greens meandering through 180 acres of mature parkland, with just a hint of water, that will prove to be a test for golfers of all levels.
New Forest Golf Club
Architect Peter McEvoy, has crafted a truly spectacular course that is both a joy to the eye and a pleasure to play. Already recognised as one the finest parkland courses in Ireland the undulating, natural forested surroundings bring an outstanding quality to the course, with some of the finest putting surfaces, tees and fairways in the country. Whilst only opening for business in the summer of 2006 the course offers a maturity of play only found on courses that have been around for decades.
Moate Golf Club
Originally founded in 1900, Moate Golf Club moved to its present site in 1940 as a 9-hole course. In 1993, it was extended to an 18-hole course. It is set in gently rolling parkland and presents a variety of challenges to both beginners and experienced golfers.
The new clubhouse, built in 1997, provides all the facilities that the golfer of today requires and is well worth a visit.
Mount Temple Golf Course
Mount Temple is a traditional Championship golf course. It lies in the heart of Ireland and is renowned for its large links type greens and undulating fairways. Just a short distance from Athlone, the capital of the midlands. Sitting on a sand based esker affords the course the advantage of being playable all year round. The course was "Built by God, polished by man". Great views from the course over 75 miles of Ireland's midland counties.

Esker Hills Golf Club

Tullamore Golf Club
The Golf Club is located a short drive south of Tullamore town, in mature parkland of oak, beech and chestnut, providing a beautiful setting for the game of golf. A championship course, which is playable all year round, it boasts a magnificent modern layout with new sand-based undulating greens, picturesque lakes, bunkering, mounding and a new programme of tree planting, providing a layout which equals the best in the country.
The original course was designed by James Braid and has now been upgraded to the highest standards of the modern golf course design under the direction of Patrick Merrigan. The resulting magnificent course marries the Braid design with new sand-based, undulating greens, lakes bunkering, mounding and a program of tree planting, to provide a layout which equals the best in the country.
Birr Golf Club
Birr offers a wonderful 18 hole parkland course, Par 70. Visitors are always welcome. Situated in the centre of Ireland and within a short drive of all major sea an airports. Birr is a must for all touring golfers.
You are assured of a real Irish welcome at our modern golf course with full bar and restaurant facilities. A well stocked golf shop and a driving range are located adjacent to the entrance.
Athlone Golf Club
Athlone is a superb parkland course bounded on three sides by picturesque Lough Ree. Beautifully designed, the course exploits the natural splendour of its surroundings afforded from its vantage points - from the modern strategically appointed clubhouse, panoramic views of the lake and its wooded islands. Its tree lined fairways and undulating terrain make it a true test of golf.
Selected to host numerous provincial and national championships, its profile was further enhanced by the staging of the prestigious all Ireland Cups and shields final in 1998, and in 2007 the All Ireland Mixed Foursomes Finals and the All Ireland AA Insurance Ladies Championships. The club has excellent catering and bar facilities, a professional shop and visitors are always assured of a friendly welcome.
Athlone Golf Club was founded in 1892. It is a parkland course, surrounded by Lough Ree on 3 sides, sand-based greens and tees. Four new water features. Tthe feature holes are the 6th, 12th and 16th. 18 Hole - Par 71 Men, Par 75 Ladies. Visitors are assured of a warm welcome. Club Hire, Trolleys and Buggies for hire.
Longford Golf Club
County Longford Golf Club is located just outside Longford on the main N4 from Dublin. Newly redesigned and officially reopened in May 2005. It was founded in 1894 and is a parkland course with mature trees. A stream comes into play at a number of holes, including the last, so you won’t be able to let your guard down until you are safely back in the clubhouse. Additional water features have also been introduced, especially at the signature hole at no. 12.
It’s a scenic place to play golf with panoramic views of Longford town and the surrounding countryside to be savoured on almost every hole of a course which measures over 6700 yards and has a par of 72. Trolley and buggy hire is available while the clubhouse has a bar, restaurant, and pool facilities.
Portarlington Golf Club
Magnificent 6,000 meters golf course set in mature parkland. River Barrow makes the closing holes amongst the toughest in the area. The club with celebrate its centenary in 2008. There is a full bar and catering facilities available and a well stocked golf shop on site.
Portarlington Golf Club is also widely acclaimed as the friendliest club in the region. The clubhouse was completely refurbished in 2001, and provides an excellent environment for golfer and guest alike. Large locker rooms for both ladies and gentlemen provide a comfortable place to prepare for your round or wind down after your on course exertions. The upper floor bar and catering areas with the large balcony give panoramic views over much of the course and is a pleasure even on the more uncomfortable days.
