What time is Check-in and Check-out?

Check-in is from 4pm and Check-out is before 12pm.

What is the cancellation policy?

We know plans can change. Should you wish to cancel a reservation prior to arrival, Bloomfield House Hotel, Leisure Club & Spa has a strict policy of 48 hours notice for direct bookings (72 hours+ for 3rd Party Bookings). In the event of us not being notified of a cancellation the first night's accommodation will automatically be charged to your credit card. Please email us directly in order to cancel your reservation. Advance purchase reservations require full prepayment at the time of booking. These reservations are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Can I organise an early Check-in or late Check-out?

We will always try to accommodate guests who arrive early, but we are unable to guarantee that your room will be available before 4pm. If you plan to arrive earlier, our Reception Team would be delighted to arrange the storage of your luggage, whilst you take the time to explore our grounds or grab a bite to eat. Should you wish to extend your departure time, we will try to accommodate your request. Late Check-out is subject to availability and charges apply: Check out by 12pm = no charge. Check out by 2pm = €20 per room.

Can I leave my luggage at the Hotel before Check-in or after Check-out?

Luggage can be stored with our Reception Team until you check-in or left after you check-out should you wish to continue to enjoy the facilities at the Hotel.

Do you have a Swimming Pool?

Our Leisure Club comprises of a 20 Metre Swimming Pool, Kids Pool, Sauna, Steamroom, Jacuzzi & Gym and use is complimentary to Residents.

How long does it take to get to town from the hotel?

The vibrant town of Mullingar is a 5 minute drive from the Hotel. Driving is advised as it is a busy road without footpaths. Taxi's can be arranged at Reception.

Do you have free parking?

All our Parking spaces are free of charge

What time is Breakfast served until?

Breakfast is served from 7am - 10.30am daily. Guests are required to make advanced reservations for Breakfast via their pre-stay email or at Reception on arrival. We would encourage you to make your Reservations at your earliest convenience.

Do you have Live Music?

There is Live Music in the Bar every Saturday & Bank Holiday Sunday night.

Do you have a Kids Club?

Our Kids Club runs from 5.30pm - 9pm on Saturdays during the School Term and everyday during the School Holidays. Charges apply.

Are dogs permitted in the hotel?

Yes, but only a selection of our guestrooms are Dog Friendly so arrangements must be made prior to arrival. You must call the hotel directly on 0449340894 to book a Dog Friendly Room. A supplement of €40 per night per dog applies.

Is there public transport available?

Mullingar Train & Bus Station is a five minute drive from the Hotel and is served by national rail company Iarnród Éireann's Dublin to Sligo rail service and Transport Ireland's buses to and from Dublin, Longford, Ballina, Sligo and Dublin Airport.

Does the hotel cater for Weddings?

Is Room Service available?

Room Service is available 24 hours a day. See Menu on the Guest Info Hub online.

What are the Leisure Club opening hours?

Monday - Friday: 6.30am - 9pm. Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays: 7.30am - 8pm. Children are not permitted in the Pool after 7pm.

What are the opening times of the Spa?

The Spa is open daily from 10am to 6pm. To avoid disappointment, advance booking is required.

What adapters are needed for rooms?

All our sockets are 3 pin Irish/UK plugs. International adapters are available to purchase at the Hotel.

Do you have high speed internet?

Fibre Broadband is available free of charge throughout the hotel. Search "Virgin Wifi".

Do you have bike storage?

We do not have a Bike Storage unit, however our Reception Team can store your bike in the Hotel if you wish.

Do you rent bikes?

Bicycle hire is available locally from Mullingar Bike Hire (5% Resident Discount) or Outdoor Escapes. See our Cycling section on our website for more details.

Do you offer Afternoon Tea?

Afternoon Tea is available at the Hotel and can be catered to all dietary needs. 48 hours booking notice required.

Can we fish on the lake?

Yes, once you have a valid fishing permit. The season opens in March at which time the fly-fishing areas are limited. Depending on weather conditions, the best areas at this time are Kilcooley Bay and from Burrow Hill to Hump Shallow - both on the west shore. Daytime fly hatches in May and June can give rise to fair trout activity. From late June to the end of July trout feed on perch fry. Late July brings a return of evening fishing. The May fly high season is from May 1st to July 1st. Most parts of the lake fish well especially Carrick Bay, Rinn Point to North wall, Dysart, Keoltown and the area off Hope's Point. From the end of September and early October wet fly fishing is very good with bags of 2-3 fish common.
