Bloomfield House Hotel continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary - Gourmet Night is one in a long list of new & exciting ventures taking place at Bloomfield House Hotel. With the arrival of their newly appointed Executive Chef, Andrew Stolsie, Bloomfield House are proud to announce “Gourmet Nights” as the latest feature in Bloomfield’s social calendar.
The first Gourmet Night took place on Thursday the 21st of May. The night commenced with an arrival drinks reception overlooking Lough Ennell followed by a 7 Course Tasting Menu served in The Charles Brinsley Restaurant. The tasty Salmon Tarter Cornet with Sweet Red Onion Crème Fraiche kicked off the dinner followed by a superb Seared Duck Foie and Banana Shallots set on Toasted Brioche with Balsamic Reduction. An exceptional Wild Mushroom Soup finished with Truffle Oil And Sorrell was followed by the fish course, a Black Sea Bass with Sweet Parsnip, Arrowleaf Spinach, and Saffron Vanilla Sauce. After a refreshing Granadilla Flavored Sorbet the guests enjoyed the Double Rib Lamb Chop served medium rare with a cassoulet of Summer Beans and Rosemary. The Sumptuous Dinner continued with a Warm Pineapple Financier with Pineapple And Malibu Compote topped with Caramel Ice Cream and Crunchy Tuille Biscuit followed by Tea, Coffee and Petit Fours. This unsurpassable dining experience was enjoyed by all and received excellent comments and compliments to the Chef, Andrew.
The Charles Brinsley Restaurant at historic Bloomfield House is named after Charles Brinsley Marlay who bought the property in 1866. It is a well-appointed dining room with window tables offering fabulous views over the grounds and lake. This is a fine restaurant with very good food, well priced and presented with friendly and attentive service.
Bloomfield House Hotel are also introducing a new Early Bird Four Course menu to tantalise ones taste buds for only €20, available Sunday to Thursday. Experience the sumptuous delights of the kitchen seven nights a week. Booking is essential.
