The Estate comprises 160 acres of parkland with 6kms of magnificent woodland and lakeshore walks, including the Narnia Trail. Several follies adorn the landscape including Ireland's largest folly, The Jealous Wall.
The restored Belvedere House is an 18th Century hunting / fishing lodge designed by the renowned German architect Richard Castle for Robert Rochfort, later the 1st Earl of Belvedere. A fascinating walled garden, designed by Ninian Nevin in 1857, contains one of Ireland's finest collections of rare and special plants. The stable block is home to a modern visitor centre with mult i- media show, exhibitions and fully licensed cafe. Adjacent to the visitor centre are two children's play areas.
There is also a delightful tram, which provides guided tours around a section of the parkland on selected days throughout the year.

Opning Hours & Restrictions for General Public during Life Festival
BBelvedere House Gardens and Park is hosting Life Music Festival over weekend of Fri 25th, Sat 26th , Sun. 27th May and Mon. 28th May. During this time opening hours and areas of the park land have restricted access as follows:
Belvedere Visitor Centre including Cafe, basement and ground floor of Belvedere House remain open to the public, also the Victorian Walled Garden, Fairy Garden, Cherry Valley, Rockery and Jealous Wall remain open.
All Woodland trails, Lakeside access and main Park Land are designated as Concert Arenas and are off limits to the Public.
Entry to Belvedere is by Season Ticket or for day visitors by half price admission. There will be an external Security cordon at main entrance where Belvedere Visitors (non Concert) are given a Car Windscreen pass to move through internal Security cordon and proceed to Belvedere main car park at the Visitor Centre. Please bring your Season Ticket .
The hours of opening are 9.30 am until 4pm. There are no running facilities either on the outside cross country track or internal trails from approx ?? May (Details TBC in 2012).
All concert traffic will be directed into designated concert parking areas off main Belvedere Avenue.

New for 2012 come along and enjoy a real carnival at Belvedere Carnival week on 31st May to 4th June.
This Summer enjoy all the fun of the fair at a new event at Belvedere House Gardens & Park, The Belvedere Family Carnival. One of the largest collections of Fun Fair rides in Ireland this Summer will operate from the main Belvedere Car Park for five days from Thursday 31st May to Monday 4th June this year. Operating until late, 10pm on the Bank Holiday Weekend Nights the Carnival will bring great excitement and wonderment with all the many rides, attractions and lights.
Good value is the order of the day and Belvedere is offering unlimited rides at the Fun Fair for adults and children for a single entry price. Instead of paying separately for each ride a Carnival wristband gives access all day including The House, Gardens, Park and Belvedere Visitor Centre with it’s new Catoca Café to have a break from the bustle of the fun fair.
Additional attractions are Hot Air Balloons, Food Producers Market, Game Stalls and a signature ride for the ultimate thrill seeker which you pay for separately. The Reverse Bungee Slingshot brought in from Sunny Beach Bulgaria will shoot you 80m high in a capsule high over the estate and Lough Ennell for panoramic views, once you stop screaming.

Earth's Dinosaur Petting Zoo is coming to The Belvedere House & Gardens on JUNE 5th/6th
Following a hugely successful tour last July, this brilliant educational, interactive and fun family show is making its return to Ireland in June.
Earth's menagerie of Dinosaurs are all coming back from extinction and will be taking up residence in Belvedere House & Gardens on JUNE 5th/6th. There are three shows scheduled per day, 2 each day designed for School Tours (morning and early afternoon) and an evening show for general public.

Midlands Garden Festival 13th, 14th & 15th July 2012
Family-friendly Midlands Home and Garden Festival with over 200 exhibitors, Dutch flower sellers and continental food market. There is a full schedule of seminars and demonstrations in gardening, bee keeping and renewable energy.
The Midlands Home & Garden Festival is now in its fifth year and this very popular event attracts over 40,000 people from Friday afternoon until Sunday.
There is a wide array of goods for sale with everything from sundials to showers, gates to gardens all on one site. Tempting food from local food producers and the exciting continental market add to the enjoyment. There is also a Victorian Fun Fair and special children's entertainment area beside the lake. The Festival is held in the magical grounds of Belvedere House with the Narnia Trail through the ancient whispering woodland and the fragrant Victorian Walled Garden with its tumbling herbaceous borders and old rose garden. Visitors to the Midlands Home & Garden Festival have access to Belvedere House its grounds and gardens.
The festival opens on the afternoon of Friday 13th July and from 10am until 6pm on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th July.

Belvedere Garden Theatre August 3rd 2012
Returning to Belvedere this Summer are Chapter House Garden Theatre Company on tour from the stately manors and castle of England with a stunning production of William Shakespeare’s A Mid Summer Night’s Dream.
Taking place outdoors on the House Lawn the show uses a 300 year old Oak as the backdrop with panoramic views of the Parkland illuminated by the setting sun.

Belvedere Christmas Floral Demonstration 8pm on Wednesday 5th December 2012
Over the course of his career, Richard has become one the country's best-known designer florists, claiming gold medals at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Flower Show, as well as arranging flowers for the papal visit to Ireland and for visiting heads of state, including Presidents Clinton and Bush.
Richard describes his signature style as simple with a local angle, using locally sourced materials to create his masterpieces. He has showcased this elegant and subtle style in his new coffee-table book 'Flowers', which features stunning arrangements pictured at local landmarks including Barna Woods.
Door will open at 7.30pm for mulled wine reception; Floral demonstration will begin at 8pm.
All floral arrangement made on the night will be raffled on the night.
